The Back Story

I’m a big fan of starting out-of-the-box ideas. Those wild crazy ideas we do not think of actually doing but would make you feel totally badass if you did.

I love IDEAS and often take them on as a side project. Usually, I start an idea no one has done before – there’s no course, book, or video to show you the way. It’s more about the adrenaline and the doing to see if I can pull it off.

The Idea House started after I sold a Retreat Property in a primal rainforest in Costa Rica for a client. Then, I lived on-site after the sale to help bring in a management team. This project went side-ways as after the sale the owners said they could not pay me my full commission, but that they would GIFT me a building lot instead. I did not really want the lot, as I did not see myself living in a primal rainforest. However, I took the lot and then put together a project around it that was quite spectacular in it’s own way.

The Idea House Concept

MISSION:

To develop a New Model Wellbeing Creative Studio and Living Space on the Caribbean of Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica

FOCUS:

To bring a special Team together to design, crowdfund and build The Idea House, which provides the perfect environment for the way one lives, breathes, rests, works, plays and engages.

REFINING THE IDEA:

The Idea House would be a forward-thinking retreat and well-being living space centered around a large studio and courtyard where small groups can live – work and play.

The Idea House would be used in a multitude of ways; as a think tank studio for creating new ideas; as a well-being space for quiet and balance; as a remarkable retreat space where aspiring creative individuals such as artists, writers, photographers, producers, choreographers, and entrepreneurs can create.

As the land for The Idea House sits within a rainforest, the space would becomes a stimulating eco-system to produce and reflect on emerging bodies of work. It would allow for those within a small group to explore and create while meeting new people and experiencing life organically in an amazing off-the- beaten path location.

A key focus would be to provide a well-being design, which truly enhances a person’s health and creativity – just by staying in the space.

Here is the launch post I wrote with the idea of storytelling as if I am the Rainforest talking . . .

I am a Rainforest
I am Beautiful, Powerful and Full of Energy

I am a living – pulsing – breathing rainforest that is crucial for the climate.

This earth is my soul center and my forest of trees provides housing for many special animals, birds, plants and flowers. All these living beings are what make up my Energy as a rainforest.

I thrive on a mountain over looking the pristine beaches of the Caribbean Sea just above the special town of Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica – just across the border of Panama.

The service I provide as a Primal Rainforest over the last twenty years has been as a backdrop and special setting for one of the first yoga retreats built in Costa Rica. This makes me feel good, as I’ve had special care from people visiting from around the world.

They come to relax and experience my wisdom and energy. Often, they find a new way of life by reinventing themselves or finding a powerful new way of being.

As a rainforest I feel good about this, because I have special powers in abundance to give.

My wisdom has been growing for hundreds of years, through the plants that heal to the animals that show mankind how to live in harmony.

When visiting ME – You Will Meet YOU

But, as a rainforest I look to the future

Where will I be in another 10 to 20 years? In order to thrive, I need to always grow my forest and renew my energy in order to support new creative ideas for the lives I touch.

As a rainforest that looks to the future, I have a new vision. I would like some of my land, which is my heart, to expand into providing a retreat and studio space for the artists, thinkers and leaders of the world.

As a primal rainforest, I would enjoy this company and would love and adore those who come to stay with me and nurture me. I envision a special group of people that will come together to plan and build this space within the heart of my forest.

They will know how to take good care of me so I can keep growing for centuries to come.

I would like this new space to be called: The Idea House

I want to provide my energy and wisdom for “the arts” and for others to have Think Tanks, Creativity Sessions, Retreat Time and Power Time. This is the best use of my rainforest energy.

I want to see special new ideas and developments evolve from The Idea House. I will be here to continue providing the setting that gives power for thought and creativity to those who seek.

In fact, just by being in my rainforest people will find wellness and heal their souls. They will reinvent their lives and ideas. The Idea House will be so powerful, that people will become “well” just by being here in my forest.

As a rainforest I am constantly inspiring others. I impact your life and how you think. You will become calm and your anxiety will leave you. You may want to stay for a long time. You are welcome to do so.

For The Idea House project, I have a very special visionary who is my caretaker for this mission. Her name is Maria Camille and she is facilitating the ideas for those who want to bring this special project together.

As a rainforest who sees into the future, I know this project will grow. I will watch with love and support to all those who come together to grow this idea.
