Mystic Meditations in the Mountains

What Happens When We Become Still?

We live in a world that rarely stops talking.

There is always something demanding our attention. Another responsibility, another decision, another distraction. Even when we find a moment to rest, the mind often continues racing ahead.

But what happens when we step away from the noise long enough to listen?  What might we discover in the quiet spaces between our thoughts?

Sacred Stillness is a four-day psychedelic meditation retreat in the Colorado Rockies, created for those who feel called to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with something deeper within themselves.

Guided by Nate Macanian, this intimate mountain gathering brings together silent meditation, breathwork, tea ceremonies, immersive sound experiences, nature, and teachings inspired by mystical traditions including Buddhism and Kabbalah.

At the heart of the retreat is a mindfulness-focused psilocybin ceremony,
approached with intention, preparation, and thoughtful integration.

This is not about escaping your life.
It is about becoming quiet enough to hear what your life may be asking of you.

For many of us, stillness doesn't come easily.

We have become so accustomed to movement, productivity, and stimulation that simply sitting quietly can feel unfamiliar.
Yet contemplative traditions have long recognized silence as a doorway to awareness.

Throughout Sacred Stillness, periods of noble silence and inward reflection are balanced with shared meals, meaningful conversation, gentle practices, and time in the mountains.
You may find yourself sitting quietly with a cup of tea, watching the steam rise into the morning air. Walking beneath the pines. Listening to birdsong instead of the familiar noise of everyday life.

There is no need to perform, achieve, or become someone different.  Just an invitation to be present.
And perhaps discover that what you've been searching for becomes easier to recognize when everything else grows quiet.

The Art of Doing Less — and
Discovering More

Dao House — A Sanctuary in the
Colorado Rockies

Over four days, participants are guided through a carefully considered progression of contemplative practices, connection, and personal exploration.

Meditation & Noble Silence
Daily meditation and periods of intentional silence create opportunities to observe the mind, deepen awareness, and experience the restorative qualities of stillness.

Breathwork & Somatic Practices
Gentle breathwork and body-centered practices encourage participants to reconnect with physical sensations, release habitual tension, and cultivate a greater sense of presence.

Tea Ceremony & Mindful Living
The simple act of preparing and sharing tea becomes an invitation to slow down. These quiet moments remind us that mindfulness is not limited to meditation — it can become part of everyday living.

Sound Healing & Nature Immersion
Immersive sound experiences and time in the mountain landscape provide opportunities for reflection, rest, and connection with the natural world.

The Sacred Stillness Experience

Mindfulness-Focused Psilocybin Ceremony
The retreat includes an introductory microdosing experience and a longer psilocybin ceremony, with preparation and integration support.

Rather than approaching the experience as something to achieve or control, participants are invited to explore it through mindful awareness, curiosity, and respect for their individual process.

Integration & Reflection
Journaling, personal reflection, individual preparation and integration conversations, and post-retreat group gatherings help participants explore how their insights might inform everyday life.

Surrounded by the mountains and forests near Rocky Mountain National Park, Dao House offers a setting where the pace of daily life can begin to soften.

Here, open skies, alpine trails, forested walking paths, and quiet spaces for contemplation become part of the experience.
The retreat makes use of Dao House's peaceful mountain environment, including its teahouse, outdoor gazebos, and places to walk, sit, and reflect.

Away from familiar routines, there is room to breathe.
And sometimes, a few days surrounded by nature can remind us how much we have forgotten to notice.

The intention is simple: meaningful learning, extraordinary experiences and enough freedom for something unexpected to happen.

This gathering may speak to you if you:

• Feel drawn to meditation and would like to deepen your practice.

• Are curious about exploring psychedelics through a contemplative, inward-focused approach.

• Are navigating a life transition and seeking greater clarity or perspective.

• Want to bring more presence and mindfulness into your relationships.

• Feel weary of performative spirituality and are looking for a more authentic experience.

• Are working through a creative question or longing to reconnect with inspiration.

• Simply recognize that it may be time to slow down and listen.

No particular religious or spiritual background is required, and previous meditation experience is not necessary.
What matters is a willingness to approach the experience with openness, curiosity, and respect.
