PSYCH ALLENDE
San Miguel de Allende

An immersive gathering of ancestral wisdom, psychedelic exploration and community

April 2027

Some Knowledge Can Be Studied. Other Knowledge Is Transmitted.

As the world of psychedelic facilitation continues to grow, an important question deserves our attention:
Where does the deeper understanding come from?

Beyond techniques, protocols and certifications lies another kind of learning — one rooted in culture, philosophy, ritual, relationship and lived tradition.

Psych Allende brings together aspiring and experienced facilitators, practitioners, teachers and curious explorers for an unusual gathering in the Mexican countryside.

At its heart is the opportunity to learn directly from respected Mexican teachers and lineage holders, including Mayra Armijo Ugalde and Marisela Ugalde Velázquez de León.

Not simply to learn about these traditions.
But to sit with the people who carry them.
And to discover how that understanding might deepen the way we approach our own work — and our lives.

SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, MEXICO

Intimate small-group Vision Quests surrounded by the color, beauty, gardens and extraordinary atmosphere of San Miguel.

Some teachings cannot be separated from the people who carry them.
There is a profound difference between studying a tradition and sitting with someone who has spent a lifetime living it.

At the heart of Psych Allende are two remarkable Mexican teachers: Mayra Armijo Ugalde and Marisela Ugalde Velázquez de León (Abuela Marisela).

Their work brings together Mesoamerican philosophy, cosmology, ancestral knowledge, ritual, movement and living traditions that reach far beyond today's psychedelic movement.

For those entering the field of psychedelic facilitation — and those already working within it — this is an opportunity to explore questions that training programs don't always address.

LEARNING FROM THE SOURCE

Where do these traditions come from?

What gives ceremony its meaning? What responsibilities come with guiding others through profound experiences?

And what can we learn from traditions that have understood transformation in very different ways?

A RARE OPPORTUNITY FOR CEREMONIAL LEARNING

For aspiring and experienced psychedelic facilitators, this offers an unusual opportunity to take part in a living ceremonial tradition within the context of the people who carry it.

Beyond the ceremony itself lies a deeper understanding of the relationship between ancestral knowledge, community, responsibility and the sacred practices that have been passed through generations.

This is not a workshop in conducting ceremonies. It is an opportunity to participate respectfully, learn through direct experience and deepen one's understanding of the traditions that inform today's expanding psychedelic field.

(Final participation details will be provided as arrangements are confirmed.)

The Peyote Tradition

Through teaching circles, conversation and shared experiences, participants will have the opportunity to listen, question and learn directly from women who have devoted their lives to carrying this knowledge forward.

It is an invitation to deepen your understanding, broaden your perspective and bring greater awareness and responsibility to the work you already do — or hope to do.

For facilitators, this deeper understanding can influence how you prepare participants, approach ceremony, recognize the responsibilities of your role, and help people integrate meaningful experiences into everyday life.

Shared Experiences

The intention is simple: meaningful learning, extraordinary experiences and enough freedom for something unexpected to happen.

A Place as Extraordinary as the Gathering Itself

Just twenty minutes outside San Miguel de Allende, an extraordinary Mexican Hacienda is taking shape.

This is no ordinary retreat center or conference venue. It's an imaginative world of gardens, open skies, horses, water, art and unexpected spaces — created by someone who believes that the surroundings themselves can become part of an experience.

Imagine beginning the morning with breakfast in the gardens. Sitting in a teaching circle beneath the trees. Spending time with the horses, walking beside the lake, or sharing a conversation that continues long after a workshop has ended.

THE HACIENDA

Throughout the property, there are spaces for movement, ceremony and performance. A traditional Temazcal, and places to gather.

What makes this setting especially remarkable is the freedom it offers. One moment you might be sitting in a teaching circle, exploring ideas that challenge your understanding of the world. The next, you might be walking through the gardens, spending time with the horses, or continuing that conversation over a beautiful meal.

Your gathering pass provides access to the main Psych Allende program, including the scheduled teachings, group experiences and community gatherings.
Accommodation, meals, transportation and certain optional experiences are arranged separately, giving you the flexibility to create a visit that suits your interests and budget.

Choose Your Accommodations

For those who love being close to nature, camping at the Hacienda offers the opportunity to stay right on the land.
If you prefer something more luxurious, a beautiful winery property directly across the highway offers an entirely different experience.
And for those who would like to enjoy the restaurants, galleries and charm of San Miguel de Allende, there are wonderful accommodations in town, just twenty minutes from the Hacienda.
