PSYCH ALLENDE
San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

An immersive gathering of ancestral wisdom, psychedelic exploration and community

Presented in collaboration with the Church of the Sacred Plants and Mama Dose

April 2027

Some Knowledge Can Be Studied. Other Knowledge Is Transmitted.

As the world of psychedelic facilitation continues to grow, an important question deserves our attention:

Where does the deeper understanding come from?

Beyond techniques, protocols and certifications lies another kind of learning — rooted in culture, philosophy, ritual, relationship and living tradition.

Psych Allende brings together aspiring and experienced facilitators, practitioners and curious explorers for an unusual gathering in the Mexican countryside.

At its heart is the opportunity to learn directly from respected Mexican teachers and lineage holders.

Not simply to learn about these traditions.
But to sit with the people who carry them.
And discover how that understanding might deepen the way we approach our work — and our lives.

Some teachings cannot be separated from the people who carry them.
There is a profound difference between studying a tradition and sitting with
someone who has spent a lifetime living it.

At the heart of Psych Allende are two remarkable Mexican teachers: Mayra Armijo Ugalde and Marisela Ugalde Velázquez de León (Abuela Marisela).
Their work brings together Mesoamerican philosophy, cosmology, ancestral knowledge, ritual, movement and living traditions that reach far beyond today's psychedelic movement.
Through teaching circles, conversation and shared experiences, participants will explore questions that conventional training programs don't always address.
What gives ceremony its meaning? What responsibilities come with guiding others through profound experiences? And how can ancestral understanding deepen the work we do today?
For facilitators, these insights can influence how they prepare participants, approach ceremony and help people integrate meaningful experiences into everyday life.
This is not another certification. Nor is it a weekend course in becoming a shaman.
It is an invitation to deepen your understanding and bring greater awareness and responsibility to the work you already do — or hope to do.

LEARNING FROM THE SOURCE

A RARE OPPORTUNITY FOR CEREMONIAL LEARNING

A traditional Peyote Ceremony is being planned under the guidance of Indigenous ceremonial leaders.

For aspiring and experienced psychedelic facilitators, this may offer an unusual opportunity to encounter a living ceremonial tradition within the context of the people who carry it.

Beyond the ceremony itself lies a deeper understanding of the relationship between ancestral knowledge, community, responsibility and practices passed through generations.

This is not a workshop in conducting ceremonies. It is an opportunity for respectful participation and learning through direct experience.

(The ceremony is optional, separately priced and subject to final confirmation, eligibility and participation requirements.)

The Peyote Tradition

Not everyone will arrive at Psych Allende for the same reason.
Some will come to deepen their understanding of ancestral traditions and psychedelic facilitation. Others will be drawn by ceremony, movement, horses, creative exploration or the opportunity to exchange ideas with people who share their curiosity.

Throughout the gathering, there will be opportunities for teaching circles, meaningful conversations, embodied practices, time in nature and experiences unique to the Hacienda.
But Psych Allende isn't designed to fill every hour.
There will be time to wander through the gardens, enjoy a beautiful meal or continue a conversation with someone whose perspective has opened an entirely new way of thinking.
The intention is simple: meaningful learning, extraordinary experiences and enough freedom for something unexpected to happen.

A Place as Extraordinary as the Gathering Itself

Just twenty minutes outside San Miguel de Allende, an extraordinary Mexican Hacienda is taking shape.

This is no ordinary retreat center or conference venue. It's an imaginative world of gardens, open skies, horses, water, art and unexpected spaces.

Imagine beginning the morning with breakfast in the gardens. Sitting in a teaching circle beneath the trees. Spending time with the horses, walking beside the lake or sharing a conversation that continues long after a workshop has ended.

Throughout the property are spaces for movement, ceremony and performance, including a traditional Temazcal and places to gather beneath the open sky.
What makes this setting especially remarkable is the freedom it offers.

One moment you might be exploring ideas that challenge your understanding of the world. The next, walking through the gardens or continuing that conversation over a beautiful meal.

As evening arrives, the Hacienda takes on another life. Food, fire, performance, conversation and the pleasure of being together beneath the Mexican sky.

THE HACIENDA

And perhaps just as important, there is room for the unexpected.
Time to wander. To reflect. To meet someone whose story changes the way you see your own.

The land isn't simply where Psych Allende happens. The land is part of Psych Allende.

Your gathering pass provides access to the main Psych Allende program, including the scheduled teachings, group experiences and community gatherings.
Accommodation, meals, transportation and certain optional experiences are arranged separately, giving you the flexibility to create a visit that suits your interests and budget.

Choose Your Accommodations

For those who love being close to nature, camping at the Hacienda offers the opportunity to stay right on the land.
If you prefer something more luxurious, a beautiful winery property directly across the highway offers an entirely different experience.
And for those who would like to enjoy the restaurants, galleries and charm of San Miguel de Allende, there are wonderful accommodations in town, just twenty minutes from the Hacienda.
